    Default Road Trip


    I met up with Mississippi Jig Head yesterday morning, to see if I could shake the skunk that has been riding around with me the last 7 trips. I switched back to spider rigging and started catching a few keepers and a bunch of trow backs just the opposite for him. Go figure same lake, same bait, shiners, same depth. That skunk must of been lurking close by. Did I mention it was HOT no breeze at all, had to dunk Spot a couple times to cool him off. I decided to make my own breeze and start field testing my freshly painted C 33 crankbaits with some good results. 22 got to cool off on the long ride home. Thanks for the invite MJH.

    Man that SKUNK hit me like a ton of bricks. I came back from Crank Fest and they put the breaks on. I made 7 different trips to 4 different oxbows, Lake Dubison, Lake Rodmaker, and lake Larto, Nothing 3 fish was the average, 4 fish at Larto was my best catch. You should have seen me when I got a bite, I jerked the pole so hard I pulled the sinker out the water. I can't wate for the temp to change and these fish get back on the hook.

    Man I'm happy you got back in the grove of things! I love that lake because I never go home empty handed! Order a bed trollimotor today so I'll get back to pulling cranks soon. I will be back over there Friday
