Looks like you and Jack had a pretty good day. He'll grow out of the bass thing but it may be a while. Like when his joints
start squeaking.
Had a good day with my boys Huntjwm and jack the wild man on Sunday . Fishing was tough but we got on a few good bites. The salvania was everywhere in every canal, it tested our resolve. Out of all the spillway, this area to me, just looks like fish city. Big stands of cypress brakes and endless places for slabs to live like kings! Jack loves those trashy bass! Lol
Really wish they would dress the landing a bit. Doesn't seem like they care to much about keeping it nice. It works though.

Brings back memories! I used to fish there when I was at LSU. There was a little run out where the choupique would gang up. I caught one that was 12# Epic battle on a red Ambassador 5000!! Got lost in the basin once. Got out of the boat to hunt ducks. Left compass in boat on cloudy day. Finally found boat at last light. Always bring compass with you. Better yet bring two!! Hard learned lessons stay with you!! Glad the old fishing hole is still good, and you are educated the young ones!!

They sprayed the salvinnia here at Larto and in the process killed the lily pads for almost two years. This year they are trying to make a come back. That’s a real nice box of fish.
