Back to where I left them last week. ;]
Conditions were perfect.
The bite wasn't like last week. Had to work hard for them.
Put da blue n white tube down and stuck with da red green n chartreuse tube tight line.
Thunderstorm ran me off before noon.

Still a good catch. What's your theory as to why this week is slower than last?

Hey Twenty,
Good question.
The Basin is 20 miles in width from east to west and 150 miles in length. The Basin is the largest existing wetland in the United States with an area of 1,400,000 acres
My theory.....
1)Maybe a bit of a rise. National Weather Service Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service
2) Fishing Pressure/ boat traffic which could include up to tugs pushing barges.
3) Bright blue sky
I remebered Basinchartreuse recent Pigeon post on hitting the points. https://www.crappie.com/crappie/loui...-bayou-pigeon/
So I made a point to not pass one up. and most held feesh. On My best lay-down which is in deep water 6' to 8' didn't get bit. Never know how many folks had fished it before me.;(
I love fishing in the Basin. It changes a little after every spring flood. In my younger years I could it fish day light dark. Even in da summer heat.
