It was pretty awesome time cuz it was like the garfish spawn...they can give the line a tug....I cleaned 2 to make some lvoorhies gar balls.....like to try new stuff....I’m sure the sacs were there but too afraid to bite due to the swarm of predators....I like to catch whatever’s biting...I had fun

A pound...not too big...but they hit like 10 pounders.....lost my pico zombie to a gou......I waited and waited to see if it would float to the surface but I never saw it.

I've somewhat solved the problem of losing my baits to the undesirables. I'm tying a 3' leader of 20# braid in front of my baits. So far, so good. It protects from the gar teeth and catfish fins. Oh and a rubber landing net has also helped.
Only need three more years before I can think like a fish.

I never thought of using braided line as a leader. I do use a rubber landing net thought all the time
