    Default Finally

Finally got the boat in the water this morning. I wasn't ready to go but Linda has been been going a little stir crazy being we haven't been in the boat for a couple of weeks or more. The day started real nice, boat ride was cool and the weather was clear. Then it started getting hot and thunder clouds were starting to build. We caught a few bluegills and Linda lost a nice bass on the was to the boat. Then I hooked one on a Roadrunner. At first I though I had a nice bass but then he really took off like a freight train. I got on the troll motor and tried to keep up but he stripped all my line and then popped it. Sure would like to have seen it at least. I think it was probably a red fish by the way he was pulling. Well better luck next time. It was nice to get on the water again.

Great offer my friend, I sent you a PM.

It was really nice to get on the water again. We have been going at least twice a week since late winter and it felt so unnatural not to be going. Just have to be on the safe side with the heat and the lightning. Linda overheats easily and with her heart condition it could get dangerous real fast. She tells me not to worry, but like I tell her it to late in life to start training someone new. That usually get me in hot water.

    The one that got away....

Better take care in this heat, it's too hot for us younger folks also, not to mention someone with a heart condition

Good report, Mr. Gene. I am glad you and Mrs. Linda was able to get out and catch a few. Ya'll be careful in this heat.
