    Default Lake Caroline??

Have any of yall ever fished this lake in Bossier City. It's part of the Red River NWR system. I used to check a gas well on the refuge but back then there was no launch and I worked to much to ever go anyway. I read searching the web that at one time had good numbers of crappie in it.

    Hey friend,
I had spotted that lake a year or so ago. I can't seem to get friends to go fish it with me.
I've taken small ones to fish off the pier , mainly bream.
I've checked in year round ( when open) and know it is fished for crappie by a few regulars.
The deeper water seems to be on the outside of the turn(east side) , with the inside being the slow ,sloping shallower side(west bank)
I think they move from the deep bank, to the single trees in the middle. Most guys just have to figure which ones, as they seem to change .
Not sure if you know, but it requires a permit. Easily picked up at the office , outside at a desk. Just read pamphlet , sign enclosed permit, put in wallet
    and go fish.
It flooded pretty good this year, stayed muddy for awhile .
I'd try it if I were you , really a pretty lake, especially with area.
It has only had maybe one boat on it at a time, its hard to find a remote feeling spot like that any more. May be why I like it so much

Sounds good, I'm definitely gonna give it a try.
Appreciate the info. I'd drive by it every day and be like that looks like a fishy looking spot. I've herd it's been good fishing at times.

Never fished it. The people that owned it before the feds used to catch a lot of fish there.

    Lots of rules.
