Default FREE MIXED GAS JUST FOLLOW ME

After coming home from Crank Fest and making 2 trips to the Koline oxbow I figured it was time to add a little gas to the boat for the upcoming Old River Get Together. So you know that the pumps are farther appart than the boat and truck gas tanks that you fill one tank at one pump then pull up to the next pump and fill the other. I have a 1999 25hp 2 stroke Yamaha so I have to mix oil to the gas. I figured 3 gal would do the trick, added oil then gas and pulled up to fill the truck. No problem, headed home when I get there I go to plug in the battery charger and I smell GAS ut oh. I walk to the back of the boat and relize I forgot to put the cap back on the tank stupid me. Now come on I know some of you did it also, I lost about 5 gal on the ride home. Anyway the fishing report started off at Koline oxbow, plenty of bait balls and fish on the Garmin. I kept changing cranks till I finely snagged a 12" sac after an hour and half of fishing. Time to make a move, loaded the boat and headed off to the oxbow behind Buhlow Lake in Alex. Time about 10 oclock now and starting to get hot, I didn't realize but this is a long oxbow. The wind picked up pretty good so we didn't stay long catching 3 more to add to the box. I will be back to check this place out again, so follow me for free boat gas.

I went back yesterday 25-30' was the deepist I found. What reely got me excited was the long slow flats that were full of bait balls. The bite has been slow for me only catching 3, if the river don't rise to much this oxbow is going to be a crank bait dream. So close to the city and had the whole place to myself except for the 30 or so DEA Customs and FBI agents doing a water drill. It was kinda funny seeing the look on some of there faces when they pulled the yellow handle on the inflatable life vest.

Buhlow back behind the airport, that's the one. I just got back from town and checked my private guage in pool 1, a stick with some notches cut in it and shoved in the sand. The river dropped @ 1 1/2" the last couple days, the water is as pretty as I've seen it, plenty bait, fish on the screen and no bites. Thats fishing.
