    Default Lake st. John 4-28-18

Went to the lake to deploy some fish condo buckets I had made. It's 3 hours each way so I fished all day. (I mean its better than working.) I only used on rod all day, an ultralight spinning rod and shot docks. I must have lost about 10 jigs. I had 2 fish break my line that I have no clue what they were. I landed a pretty good size gou, so what ever they were was probably bigger. I ended up with 4 sacs, 3 catfish and 2 bream. Threw back the gou and the small brim I caught. Ooh and I got a good sun tan!

I had never seen so many people spider rigging out there. I have never seen that in person like that, only on tv. Dont really know what they were fishing over but I saw them catch some.

The last pics is one of the buckets I put out. The other was placed next to it later and Idid'nt get a pic. The depth is off about a foot and a half. I still have to adjust the offset on the TM.

My brand new lowrance on the console quit working so I dont have the sidescan of the buckets. The side scan worked but the gps quit. While I was PO'd I reset the thing a few times and lost waypoints ans screenshots.

Even with the electronics problems, I had a great day fishing. Its been a while! Hopefully more to come. Name: 20180429_094823.jpeg

I've never seen spider riggers on St John until this year. They are catching a few descent fish tho. If you can stand the gnats the fish I'm catching are still on the cypress trees in 4' to 6' on the bottom. Bobby Garland "Cajun Cricket" and "Slab Sauce"

Unfortunately yes. But the litter buckets came from work. Out cats are barn cats. No litter needed just flower beds lol.

We have an old fat cat as an office mascot. Those buckets just get thrown out so I figured I'd repurpose them..

Those hnats were bad but i have some stuff called swamp water i had gotten a while back to go marsh fishing. It has vanella in it and it works pretty well for a while. Im sure it has other stuff in it too. Just spray it on every hour or so. Smells good,

Awsome. Thanks for the tip. I'll be there the 24-29 this month. Our anual family vacation. Hopefully we can get on them. I just want to fish, but catching is better.

Also have the stripers been biting around the lights?
