Got to Caney at 4pm. Tried ultra lights but no go. Picked up my jig poles and caught this one right away. Ended up catching one more and got another one to the boat. Fished 6 ft down in 8 ft water. Orange/chartreuse and electric chicken. Not many, but I learned more about the lake and they were good looking fish.

Went back Sunday and did the same in the rain. Orange/chart pepper and grey hair jig at 6ft deep in 8 ft water. Caught 2 lost one. Biggest again over 2 lbs.

Someone once told me they always try to find at least one new spot each time they fish. I try to keep that in mind while fishing, but sometimes its hard to try something new

I fished Caney Thursday-Sunday and only caught 8 good crappie mostly shallow.
