Great Pic Gene! I likey 70 Mile.
No not that kind, this kind.
We left late around 11:30 as Linda had a Dr. appointment. We went to the 70 mile canal for a change of pace. First place we pulled up Linda got one on but it came off. A few minutes later I pitched my jig towards the bank and bam, I hung the one on the left in the picture. I got it to swim around the front of the boat an to the side away from the bank. I had Linda grab the net as I had my hand full just fighting it. Just as she about to get the net under it, one jumped on her pole which she had on her shoulder still towards the bank. She tells me to hurry and get mine in the net as she had one tugging on her line. I finally got it to net. She turned around and fought hers while I took mine out the net. I then went net hers. That was a very nice and exciting double.
Besides those two we caught 6 more. No signs of sacs but the bass are fun to catch too.

Proud Member of Team Geezer!
While riding to the 70 mile I notice something for the first time this year. The Intracoastal Canal water is turning red from water coming down the Atchafalya from the Red River and spreading east. The red water hadn't entered the 70 mile or Orange Grove. Water was coming out of those areas.

Nothing wrong with those green trout! I will be after them in a couple of more weeks when the local marshes open up.
