    MY !!!

I don't know if you read posts like me, but the first thing I look for is the city.
If the city is there or I recognize the poster, I read it.

If it is missing, I do the following:
If it is the originator, I go to the next post.
Anyone else, I go to the next reply.

I think it should be mandatory to state the City and State of the poster.
It would be nice to know your location.
If you are not sure, go to Google Maps.

I just sent Slab a note about that. Hopefully we will fix that. The option is there, but city is not required.

No one loves to see the location more than me.....I look for it all the time and I am disappointed when it is not there...but.....we are not all alike....what seems right to one may be wrong to another....some folks do like their privacy and that should be respected....I think it is OK to request someone to do that but to demand they do it is invasion of privacy which should be respected by CDC.....

In your profile now, the Field reads City/State

It always had text underneath it that said you can type in your City and State there, but now the field name is City/State

Thank you Ed! And Bruce, I do get what you are saying about privacy but it is A LOT easier to help someone out with details about a certain lake or lakes where they may be biting if we know which area they live in.

Other than just knowing which lake the person may be close to in case u can offer some help to them, i cant see any reason as to why it would matter what city and state they are in..... just my 2 pennies....

I think it would be common courtesy to post city and state on your profile. In most areas of Louisiana you have so much fishable waters nearby that you still aren’t giving away any secrets. Hey guys, when someone clicks on one our posts it doesn’t give GPS CO-ORDINATES of your Honey Hole

I enjoy seeing where people are from, but I don't think it's that big of deal if it's not there. I live in Breaux Bridge but I consider my home lake Saline/Larto. I'm originally from the area and I have a camp there. Without me telling you that, you would never relate Breaux Bridge to Saline/Larto. However, this is an open forum and anyone can see this site whether you are a member are not, so I believe it should be optional. If it were a closed site where you had to be invited or had to create an account to see the site, I would be on board with a mandatory location. I believe that is why people are apprehensive about putting that information.

It is optional btw. Some don't want or need to share the city they live in. It even says it's optional under the field in your profile.
