    Default Hair jigs

Started tying a few hair jigs and was wondering if anyone had any advice or tips on something I may be doing wrong or color patterns they really like or seem to have the best of luck with. Thanks in advance . Name: IMG_0984.jpg

Looks good, you just gotta get some practice in now.

Consistency in your chenille wraps and tail length will all come with time and practice.

And clean those eyes out before you cure the paint. Hair jigs

Far as colors go I like anything with chartreuse.

    Silver/chrt
    Gold/chrt
    Gold /orange
    Solid grey
    Purple/chrt

Thanks I appreciate it, do you like a longer thinner tail or shorter fuller tail? You’re right about that I left some paint in a few and baked them and wish I wouldn’t have lol. Any certain websites you order your materials from?

Check out the Jig tying/lure making forum. Lots of excellent info there.

Look up Skip. He sells lots of great tying supplies!

I prefer a shorter fuller tail but that's just my personal preference. There's times a thinner tail may not look as good to you but it will catch more fish.

Like CD said, Skip on the tying forum sells some nice material, chenille in larger sizes and salt water neck hackle. I get most of my hackle from him and most of my chenille and other material from ebay or crazy angler.
