Fish are biting near Hwy.33 Bridge, 6-14 feet deep using Powder Blue/Pearl and Gold Member colors.

I fish 7 days a week; some days for fish, everyday for men.

I went to monroe yesterday with my boy to pick up his car from the shop with fuel pump problem. It was about 4 Pm when I came past Stowe Creek, No boats and the Lake was almost slick. stopped by Darbone Point cabins to look, with only two boats in sight I did not go to Jakes. I had taken equipment off my boat and put on Bro's as his was larger. His boat is now Gone and mine not put back togeather. I too have been wondering why there were not any Post other than those that are fishing wants fewer boats on the Lake. The water color is right and the Lake is at Pool stage.

I've been out on Cypress in Benton a few times in the last month. Pulling cranks every time. It's been slow for me. They seem to be scattered everywhere, but have done best following the creek channels. I just bought a new Ulterra and tried it out for a couple hours yesterday. Caught five before the sun set while learning how to work the features of the motor. Expect to see more posts from me soon as the cranking really gets good. Should be getting right here pretty soon.
A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work, unless you fish for a living.

Too much blankety-blank work to do right now on my job... I'm missing fishing so bad. But this year budget work in the current dept should be over before about the time it starts for the other dept I left, so I'm hoping to have more time on the lake this fall than I have in a long time. I think I'm gonna get the wife to sign a hall pass, then run off about 50 copies before she wises up. LOL

Been slow for me last two trips to the lake. Had a good august but September hasn't been good to me. They are letting Claiborne down so there is current in the bayou and that is usually where I spend September. This is a pic from my last trip. Just didn't catch too manyName: IMG_1079.jpg

I cant tell who is in north la either since a lot of people use Louisiana as there location. Seems silly to me to use Louisiana on a Louisiana fishing forum.
