Thread: Kansas Native here to fish

Hey Louisianan's,
I'm from Kansas down here working for the weekend and I wanted to know if there were any quiet spots near Ponchatoula I can go hit up today. I was thinking I would maybe head down to Pontchartrain and see what I can real in. I'm not fishing for anything specific. I figured I'd just go grab one of walmarts 20 dollar poles, some tackle and a 6pack, and just try to find a really quiet spot to sit and relax. Any suggestions?

Maybe old US 51 hwy at Pass Manchac. Catfish? Or some of the drains under hwy for perch.
