Hey rusty you gonna be out by pawpaws bayou tomorrow
They still biting in there ? And have you caught any over 2 pounds there
I have to work this weekend but plan to go somewhere Tuesday. That was the first time this year to fish in there. I don't recall catching too many if and 2lb plus fish in PawPaws in the past. I really like spider rig drifting at Cypress, but with the warmer water temps I imagine they have moved up a little and I don't know where they go there.

A friend and I each took our boats out there today around 11:00. Neither of us caught the first crappie. I hung a small white bass. Several around were pulling out the same. I saw a few good fish caught here and there. Seems it just wasn't the day for Paw Paw. Think I might go back to Cypress tomorrow and try 'em out.

Yeah man it was tough I went to the bridge by Barron's and I couldn't get a bite wore them out there last week. Then I figured I'd try Pawpaw's so I went there from 10 to 1 -!; only had one bite it was disappointing
I'm sure I passed you at some point then. What were you in? I was following my friend. We both had Tracker 170s. He was catching them pretty good mid week. The cold front must have put the brakes on that. Welcome to C.c by the way!

Yeah I'm sure I did I was in the 14ft G3 25 hp motor. I fished up and down couldn't find a bite lol. I've been living here my whole life just got into crappie fishinh about 2 years ago I've just never had luck on cross usually go to Texas to fish Martin creek , murvaul and pines but here lately I've been trying to stay local trying to figure out cross I know where they are at times but the bite doesn't stay consistent. So far just the bridge by Barron's. I usually just go out alone if y'all ever wanna fish together I'm down. I'm 22 years old basically all I do is work and fish for crappie. Glad I found this crappie .com it's been great so far

I don't know Cross Lake at all. I only fished on it a handful of times with friends and it's been at least 15 years since I was on it last. Seems the common motto is when it's on, it's on, and you better be where it's happening because it doesn't last. I just got back into fishing back in Sept after a ten year hiatus. Today was the worst it's been so far. Can't get anything but better now. Lol
