    Default Jig pole

I'm looking for some advice on a jig pole . I bought a cheap one from BP and broke the tip off within 3 min of fishing . I fish Bayou Corne and the spillway . Looking to get rod and reel for fishing heavy cover .

Wohali gold eagle a little heavy but strong. Have used hi- tek and walley marshal and like them both , the wohali has real backbone I lifted a 1.5+ crappie in the boat when the net got hung also caught a 8.5 opp on it. I like a heaver action because I can feel the bite better and can get fish out of heavy cover. imo

B&M makes one called the brushcutter. It's made for just that purpose.

B&m for me. I use the duck commander with double touch notches cut in the Handel. I have 3 and I have had them for several years now. I've caught 3lb perch and 25lb buffalo on them.

I'd think any decent medium/heavy would do.
A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work, unless you fish for a living.

I have Wahali, B&M Duck Commander, B&M Sam Heaton Special, and Wally Marshall rods. Never had one break and I have caught everything from crappie, bass, catfish, buffalo, and goo.

Wally Marshall Pro Series by Lews teamed up with a Wally Marshall Lews series 50 spinning reel.
