Lightbulb Hopefully it is finally falling.....

Looked at the graphs his morning and it looks like the river might FINALLY start falling. Just figured I would share with everyone...let's keep our fingers crossed! The river just barely started falling a little yesterday.

All I know is when the water stops coming from up North and its not raining......rivers going to go down !!! Gotta give it a few days...that graph from Cairo is in Kentucky if I am not mistaken so we do not feel the immediate effects. It takes a few days to feel the effects down here in the river but it should be coming. If you look at the USGS link for Atchafalaya river at Butte la Rose it has been at a standstill only changing with the tides. If the rivers up North quit diverting water to us is inevitable....the river will go down and its on !

The Ohio River will take right at one week to affect the Basin. Latro is falling fast almost a foot in 2 days.

You are right Adam. Ohio River at Cairo dictates what Atchafalaya River will do, just takes a week or so. It's like clockwork, every year.

WoW, looks like Old Muddy will drop 10' by Aug. 18. That's a lot of drop. I don't know what that means for Henderson and the Atchafalaya River.
