well mine is a long story, but here we go........

I had a Bible that my aunt gave me when I turned 10 or so for my bday. it had my name stamped and gold inlayed at the bottom right hand corner. I always carried the Bible with my thumb on the front bottom right corner and after years of doing this I rubbed the "n" off my last name (mark Weldon) which was the letter closest to that corner. we got a new youth director at church when I was about 15 and after church one day he couildn't remember my name so he grabbed my Bible and quickly read my name which said Weldo (remember the "n" was rubbed off). in his haste he said oh you are mark waldo. so he started calling me waldo. and the next year I was making my play for a date with a girl and I said "you can trust me I am a doctor". word got back to my youth group and they started calling me DrWaldoMD. I shortened it to docwaldo. man, that was a trip down memory lane. thanks dwyane.

60 years ago Grandpa had a small pond dug at his farm for the cattle they owned. My little brother and lived in the woods or at the pond. mostly close to the pond. Grandmas sewing thread was the line of choice for a long time. it never made and difference what kind of fish, or the size. One day' we went from thread to trot-Line string and Catfish hooks while fishing in a four inch diameter hole for newly hatched Catfish they were going in and not coming back out. When we Droped our line in, something Grabed it Snatched it and broke everything we could stuff in there including Braid line from our Uncles Bass fishing rod This Tackle Buster was not going to win. We went to larger hooks wnen #2 hooks were streightened and Doubled Trot- Line string ---- It took a 22 Rifle for Taking The Biggest Fish EEL I have ever seen and Three Boys Won, working as a Team !!!! At the Tinest Bite I am Ready for something ready to jank my arm out of its Socket ---- Fish on Line , Perfect.

When I signed on CDC I tried several handles and they were all being used. I decided to use a handle from another hobby. At the time I was still flying powered parachutes and I'm from the south.

Bet no one could ever guess how I got mine. Been hooked ever since I caught my first bream when I was around 4 years old at Bayou Macon at Delhi.

Grew up in Mississippi cane pole fishing for bream and crappie with my parents, aunts and uncles....for bream we used crickets, worms and roaches (true, had to buy them suckers)....for crappie (we called them white perch), we used shiners.....I moved to Louisiana in 1964....had a 1960 Evinrude 5 1/2 horse.....fished False River and Old River some.....had to rent a boat.....then tried hunting deer with bow and arrow for some years.....23 years ago got back into fishing with Didi's son.....he taught me how to crappie fish with jig pole and jigs....but I could not stay away from the shiners.....something about seeing that cork go down.........even today, I still "prefers shiners" .....that was easy, huh.......
