    Default Noname Again

Went back to Noname again today. Wind was blowing about 12 knots out of the south. On the lake it seemed like it was blowing from everywhere. I found one area around a point that was slightly protected. Fish were hugging the bottom again. Put a jig over them and slowly raise it up, and most of them would raise up for a look. Some would bite. At first I was using an 1/8 ounce Roadrunner with a red and chartreuse tube body with a Berkley nibble on the hook. I got lots of short strikes. Changed to a 1/16 oz jig with same tube, but I shortened the tail to about a third of its length. That was the ticket! As the afternoon came around the water warmed up from 58 in the morning to 62 in the afternoon. Fish came up off the bottom and were biting better. Ended up keeping 14, and released at least that many. Fish also got slightly shallower. Name: 98C74E79-6762-462A-8C75-D31CA4B72EE2.jpg

Caught the red ear and some of the crappi on a 1/24 oz jig with red/chartreuse mini tube trimmed on both ends. It was very windy, so I had to put an 1/8 oz steel weight about a foot above the jig. That seems to catch fish better than using a drop shot
