Good luck I gave up on them after 4 years. Never could get any size on them.
Well the Louisiana swamp worms were a total failure, plus they are too small anyway.I got 2 pounds of Euros from Amazon (Uncle Jim)They were huge and healthy, and came fast for $59.00 very pleased.
The Euros new bed is 50/50 Peat Moss/Coconut Coir. Starting off with Chicken layer food and Coffee grounds sprinkle on top, everything is indoors .Hope everything goes as smooth as my Mealworm colony.

I haven't tried Euros yet but red wigglers are a breeze. Euros need warmish temps and benefit with buried food as well as surface feeding. Be careful with the peat moss as it is naturally acidic and can cause problems. When I started with red wigglers I never got good growth nor multiplication until the peat moss mixture was over 6 months old.
I'd add some fine blended egg shells for grit and to keep pH in check. Let me know how it works, I want to try raising them just haven't taken the plunge yet.
Got a pic of your setup?
I blend up 1/3 cup black kow...1/3 cup Chicken layer pellets...1/3 cup Coffee grounds and 1 tbsp. powdered Oyster shells. I sprinkle about a 1/4 cup of this mix on top the bedding and spray it with water and cover with plastic. So far they been going crazy for this food, they eat it all in about a day. Sorry no pic, it's just one regular plastic tote.
