    Default Worms

How are your worm beds doing? I replaced my peat moss bedding with Frabill bedding in November. My worms have doubled in size. They have not reproduced, but, I'm hoping that changes once the weather warms.

Are you going to start over Techno? I had over 5000 at one time and lost all but about a hundred.

Go to Lakeshores Vermicomposting on the internet and review their website. I've bought worms from them and they are very reliable. If you buy from them and follow the instructions you should have a healthy worm bed.

No, I really didn't need them, because I have mealworms now for 8 years and not one problem with them .

    Worms are hearty things.

I filled a 20qt storage container 1/2 full of top soil and 1/2 full of frabil worm bedding. Then I threw 2 packs of nightcrawlers and 1 50ct cup of red wigglers in it.

I'm guilty of flat out forgetting about them for weeks on time.......but when I do, I put water in the box and throw a few food scraps in.

Started it last summer and it's still going strong. Turned the dirt over a little today and I see lots of young worms so they've reproduced. Thinking it's the wigglers, I don't see many big worms that might be crawlers. Either way, they're doing fine.
