    Default Spring water

It makes sense to me that I should be able to keep minnows in a couple gallon of bottled spring water. Anybody know any reason it would harm them?

Theoretically, it should be pretty pure. However, if you've ever had an aquarium, you know that water sometimes need to be treated and/or rested before you put fish in. I usually try to use the water in the minnow tanks-they've been living in that and there's no shock to their system.

I use the original tank water also but this time needs to be different for transportation purposes.
I have had aquariums and treated the water. I was always under the impression the treatment was needed for the city tap water. Maybe I was wrong in that thinking.
