Thread: Leech traps

Does anyone know when is a good time to start setting leech traps? I’ve never done it before, but in wanting to start doing it for catfish bait. None of the local bait shops have them yet. They say it’s too early, but that makes me question when is it time to try it? Can’t find much about the subject online. My traps are simple pie tin traps and my bait will be chicken liver. Thank you for any information
