    Default Red Minnows

Anyone ever use red minnows? I saw some at a fishing store near Lake Ray Hubbard?

We call em pinkies here but yea they work well at certain times... just like any other time crappie fishing, sometimes they like pinks over silvers and vice versa.

Arkansas. I only know of one bait store local that has em so they can be hard to find.

I forgot to look over on your location. I noticed the AR later. I am a newbie so sorry about that.

I use Rosie’s frequently and I solved the availability issue by stocking them in my pond and raising them. I just put 2-3 traps in the pond baited with cattle cubes and check in 2-3 hours.

If you have a Pets Supply Plus, they also carry them.

Up here in PA we have Red Fin Dace in the creeks, the males turn bright red orange in the spring. If you can catch some with a net around that time, the red males are choice for big breeder crappie. They usually run about 3"-3.5" long.

Correction - they are blacknose dace - but the males turn red when they spawn
