One of my fishing buddies has not been able to get out since last summer. Has been busy caring for his parents in their 90's and then his father passed away. I invited him to go this past week and he had a blast. Has not posted here in a long

Not news I know but Toledo Bend is hot and getting hotter. Put 70 in the boat over 3 days last Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The size is the most incredible part. Fish were in 10 ft of water over grass. Chartreuse road runner was the ticket.

My buddy has some strip pits down near Montrose. We got a late start and only caught some small bass. He had put a brush pile out when the ice was thick. When we got there the pile hadn’t even sunk below because the water was only 8-9 FOW.

Finally got a win, of sorts, at a RCC tourny. Fish all last year and came close, but no cigar. 7 fish for a 10.40lb bag limit. My big fish was a nice 1.81 but fell short too. Winning bag was 10.87. Big fish was 1.87. 4 teams with
