not many were ketched , maybe around 25 or so total fish , made us work to get bit ....
pattern was similar it seemed , but just less fish in the area is my guess
some bluegill and crappie and bass were ketched by the 3 of us
...
Some of the herd was sure enough sporting rainbows of color .
just wow pretty in few cases .
took tiny jigs with a nibble on them in short water .
was right fun for sure .
many of those involved got put in an ice chest
...
or Mohawk crappie
or black nose crappie
or magnolia crappie
or just a crappie god created to help you filet it better with built in knife guide lines .....

Well folks the new year is upon us , the youngest was ill for about a week plus at Christmas and then , you guessed it, now it's mom and dads turn .....
Nonetheless life goes on and we are not the lay down types anyway , mostly coughing

Some not so much , some are full time at it and some just play with them .
I find myself in the middle of said pack of crappie chasers , sometimes I specialize at it full time and then sometimes I just play with them ......

We had a front blow in this last weekend here in north Texas . Wind was blowing right firmly for sure and it seemed to be an overcast waste of time at the onset of the water visit .
Dropped a pretty blue bait in the water and KABOOM right

That is "falling" diagonally bite I should say ....
Hit my dock spot at lunch time , zero takes .....
was kinda in the hmmm mode and pitched my jig out to let it "fall" back to me beside a boat in the slip

Full of timber and white crappie, black crappie and mohawks too , and for sure a sling festival if you know the lake

Bought got hammered a few times and then it became clear it was time to go ,these types of summer ish squalls move right fast and furious in these parts .
got lightly rained on twice and then the light show on the next storm and its quick
