When you run out of shiners.....easy enuf, you just pick up your pole with a jig on it (yes, I do have several)...up at 3:30 AM...picked up 75 shiners and headed for Waffle House....then 30 min. to the launch....conditions seemed perfect....good ...

Daylight till around 11....kept 15 sacs and one bass....most on shiners....some on white curly tail jig....3 ft deep in 7 fow.......north of I10.....gar are everywhere....trying out some of that "Slab Sauce" spray....it stays on the ...

Our second get together at Pats Restaurant in Henderson...A few of us fished before our 1 PM lunch and I was rewarded with 5 nice keepers...I believe MO Slab had 7....not bad for high rising, muddy water...weather was terrific....food was great..fellowship ...

Finally got around to posting this....lately, I have been icing my fish down and cleaning the next day....much easier....wound up with 9 sacs (big one 14"), 2 small bass, 7 catfish, 2 goo, one gar....shiners of course...18" deep in ...

Took my grandson (Christopher) and his girlfriend (Gabby) out Sunday.....he is a pretty good fisherman....she a beginner sort of.....he caught this bass on his 3rd cast on a brush hog...he had to kiss it cause he has not been fishing in a long ...

Launched at 7:30.....hit one dead end canal close by & picked up 2 nice ones and lost 2 in the brush....throw back one huge gar....ran south about 15 min and hit another dead end canal......pick up 3 more really nice ones ...
