I am thinking the vibrating table might be the trick. In a tumbler for cleaning cartridge cases you can get the media and a load of brass to act fluid

I too decided the hassle spoiled the fun, so my fluid bed sits in a box in the corner for punishment. I find that dipping and swirling works plenty fine.
