I got out on the Ohio river catfishing early Monday morning & thunder started with in an hour so that trip ended quickly. Started out again this morning a little later than normal because of fog. Drift fished for Bluecats 2 1/2hrs. without a bite using cut skipjacks. 50-54 f. of water. They were there but I couldn't make them bite. Switched over to bass fishing using a white Joe's Fly after lunch & finally put 3 small ones in the boat and missed a couple more. This was the best one today. At least I avoided the skunk. Caught & returned unharmed. Overcast morning & flat water was nice till the heat/humidity/sun turned on. I'll give it a try again next week & leave the river to the pleasure boaters this weekend. Looking forward to Fall fishing.
Had a Mother daughter duo from Florida couple weeks ago. Lots of fish as usual at Green River Lake. 13 -16 fow. Silver sided minners worked well

CP, Unfortunately I haven't been but once all year. That was when my SIL came in for a few days. Got a big fat goose egg that day. Taking care of Ms. Joyce and my own knee problems has kept me sidelined. Knee surgery 9 Sept. and hoping to get a day in before any bad whether sets in here. Those that do go, as CP says, please post up. I enjoy the stories and pic's, good or bad.

I was on the lake 5-6 days a week from March until June. I built in some time off. Fished PTG Crankin Classic in June on Grenada then took Vicki to Grenada and Enid in mid July. I started a remodel of our bathroom and bedroom in early July. Swore I would take my time and work as my body let me. Some days I’ve about died! Try putting down laminate flooring after having knees, hips, shoulders replaced and two lumbar fusions. We used our new 5 foot step in shower today. New bathroom floor, new vanity and new toilet and I’ll be done for the rest of my days. Hopefully!
Last DIY home project for a while.
