I fish Green for numbers not big fish. I fished it 9 days in April and limited out each day (many days by noon). About 10% of my keepers were below 10 in and most of them were 91/2-93/4. I threw back about 500 shorts. I didn’t catch any over 14 but most were 11-12 in. and very healthy. Talked to couple of fisherman complaining about all short fish. I asked how deep they was fishing. Between 3-6 ft. The water temperature was 68 so that is what you would expect. I slow troll spider riggings and was catching fish between 10-12 ft in about 15-20 fow. Recommend that he fish deeper. Seen him about 2 hours later and ask how things were going and he said much better. I go to Ky Lake for big fish and people there complain about small fish. Me and my buddy fished 3 1/2 days and had 60 nice size fish (3 over 15 in and most 13-14). I have caught some big fish out of Green but not on a constant basis. I think if the size limit was raised to 10 in that over a few years you would start seeing bigger fish come out of Green. Just one old man’s opinion.
