Default Spring crappie fishing at Cumberland

    Hi -

I was considering bringing a boat down for 2-3 days and probably staying in the area of Fishing Creek, but open to suggestions.

Would crappie fishing be any good in late March/early April up in the creeks (for example, Fishing Creek)? We'd probably not venture too far and fish close to where we are staying.

Are there any crappie guides on Cumberland that guide in that part of the lake? We don't know the lake at all so hiring a guide for the first day seems like the best bet, if any are available. From what I've seen on this forum, there are good crappie in Cumberland but it's a bit tougher than other lakes for crappie.

    Thanks.

I have fished Fishing Creek and found some nice Slabs way up the creek. Your timeframe should be good.

You should be able to catch all the crappie you want up the creek during that time of the year. Just be open minded on the way you fish, if need be....
