Default 7/31 and 8/6 @ Salt River Resorvoir

Nothing new to report here guys, the fishing is as good as
You can ask in this oppressive heat. I fished last Sunday in the rain and had the lake all to myself. Caught some really nice crappie, pitching jigs to treetops has been working for me. One rod, one jig..nice and easy. Not many anglers venture out this time of year and truly I understand it, but I do enjoy the solitude out there. Just a man, his two stinkin dogs and his thoughts…Anyhoo moving along, I fished this morning as well. Same story, except I left my remote for my livescope turret in the truck…..which for the style of fishing I do hindered me something awful, but hey, I’m off work and the old lady ain’t griping so we gotta make the best of this day. Caught and released quite a few nice crappie today, gonna try em again tomorrow. Name: IMG_0809.jpg

The crappie have stayed pretty consistent this summer. Yesterday I found some good ones over submerged stump fields and some over brush. Pushed jigs at 8-10 ft over 20-28 ft water. It was a wet one but boat traffic was nil to none. Took a butt drenching in the afternoon but a really good day fishing.
