Meant There
Any recent info or pics from Kentucky lake. Heading their in a couple of weeks.
I fish the north end west side. I am by no means killing them but this has been the best winter for me in a long time. Fish are scattered, most of mine have been coming from 10'-14'.
Average size is good. I have caught several 15" plus and days with multiple 12"-14" fish are common. They are stuffed with 2.5"-3" shad or Asian carp.

I fish both lakes, fish are as healthy as I have ever seen them. Fish I have cleaned are all stuffed full of threadfin.

If you cast it they will come.
Good catch Pab. Have you started using livescope or just your great skill?

I put Livescope on the boat beginning of last year. I still tournament fish and after about a year and half of watching guys beat my brains out fishing my own stakebeds right beside me, I gave up and threw in the towel and put it on my boat. Numbers of fish on both lakes are coming back enough to where a fellow could catch them well enough without it, but there is no hope of being competitive tournament fishing on KY/Barkley without it.
I still have mixed emotions about Livescope but have to admit it’s a lot of fun. It takes a lot of guess work out of finding fish, no denying that. But after spending a lot of time with it have come to realize it actually takes more skill than a lot of people realize to really use it at the highest level consistently. And I am eating a little crow by admitting that. Realize a lot of people won’t agree with that statement about skill, but know a lot of people that still struggle that have it on the boat now. I concentrate harder now than I ever did fishing old school. I think it’s more of a case of different skill sets.
But one of the big fish in those pictures above I chased around 50-60 yards with the boat before she stopped and I caught her. In the back of my mind I have to admit that maybe we have crossed the line when we have that kind of capability. Sorry for the long answer to a simple question. Take care my friend.
