    Cool Lake Malone Questions

Me and my wife have booked a get away to Lake Malone in mid may 2022. I've never
been there and I'm fishing for some info about the bluegill and crappie fishing on this lake.

Size: 42.4 KBIf you like trolling, get some of the Arkie 220 size crank baits. Can get em at Walmart. Tie a snap swivel on your line and hook em on.

Throw em out a good cast and troll around in open water at 1.4-1.8 mph. Don’t have to have line counters, spinning reels with 6lb test will work fine.

Crappie will be suspended 8-12 ft deep in 30+ fow. You’ll catch several with eggs still. They won’t be super thick fish, long and slender- but they taste great.

The pics I’ll upload are from right before Memorial Day, so should be close to the time frame of your trip. Hope this helps.

Very nice! thanks for showing those pix. It tells me Ive got at a shot at catching some crappies. Trolling picos and flicker shads is something i enjoy as well.

I’ve caught a good mess fishing the right side of the first big cove straight across from the state ramp.
