spider rigged in river channel. caught what felt like a hundred shorts. only managed 12 keepers. nothing big all 9 to 11 inches. fished 12 to 20 ft water. fish about 8 to 10 deep. used minnows all day. fished from daylight till 1. only saw couple boats all day. nice day on the water.

Yeah ... 9-11in Crappie are pretty much the norm at Green. It's mostly a numbers lake, rather than a size (Slab) lake, but that's why I and many other people like it .... 'cause you're always likely to get bit often. That's not to say you can just sling any 'ol bait around anywhere & catch fish, but if you concentrate on submerged wood for the most part, then you're more'n likely to run into them.

Saturday was windy at T-ville until a hour before sunset. After the wind died down it was pleasant. I caught 4 small crappie. I was throwing jigs and even tried trolling cranks. Caught 2 both ways. 12 keepers is good in my book!
