    Unusual to say the least. I was thinking made by wave action but way too uniform
    The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along

    Where exactly on Cedar Creek is it ?? Out in front of the ramp at the dam ??

    I wouldn't think after all these years that any bottom feature would still be the same as when the lake was made. The diamond shape with grooves and the slick gully to either side of it just doesn't seem "natural", but I don't know of any excavation equipment that would have left any such pattern in the bottom, either. There is the old Boone Rd that goes thru that part of the lake, and they did lay stake beds & palettes in that area, according to all my old maps .... but even those don't jive with what's showing on your side scan.
