Exclamation Green River Lake ... redux

Onready & I went to Green again this Fri/Sat .... not "quite" as good results this trip, but we did manage to use up 50 minners and brought home 14 keeper Crappie.

Fish were pretty much in the same places/depths as last trip ... 20-25ft deep - on brush - few pods of fish hanging out in open water with little to nothing below them.

Water color is very good & temps still around 70deg.

Again, fish didn't care about size or condition of our minners. But, this time there were very few hard hits ... they just mouthed the minner and most times you didn't even know about it until you raised your rod tip.

Snapped a quick pic as I was cleaning today's fish -

Once again we stayed at t.slabseeker's rental cabin, "The Getaway" .... Thanks Tim, appreciate ya buddy !!

That bite you speak of is what a lot of fish were doing at Taylorsville Friday.
Glad you guys had a safe trip.

Glad you enjoyed your trip. I went to Green on Tuesday and Wednesday this past week. Hadn’t been out since end of May so I was just happy to get on the water. Tuesday fished with mostly minnows about 8-12 feet deep. Only managed 2 shorts, 1 keeper and 1 catfish on line. Wednesday fished about the same with no bites up to 1:00. Decided to go next to bottom in 18-22 fow and caught a couple shorts on black and chartreuse tube tipped with minnow. Changed my rods with plastics to that color. Over next 2 1/2 hours before having to leave caught 7 keepers (10-11 size) about 20 shorts and 1 catfish. Pretty slow but man it felted good to be on the water. Going to T-ville Tuesday to give it a try. Hadn’t been there for about 3 years but only have short day available. Be safe on the water and God bless.
