    First of all ..... to Crappie.com

    I believe the Marina sells minnows. Closest place may depend on where you're coming from.

    If I'm fishing Taylorsville with minnows, I'm buying them here in Lexington .... hopefully someone else knows about bait shops close to the lake.

    Elmars and Elk Creek Grocery on 155 are reliable. In the spring of the year you better get em the day before or you may be very well marooned when you show up and they are sold out.

    Just a FYI .... the lake is up 3.5ft over Summer Pool & being pulled hard. Expect dirty water in some areas & floating debris.
