    Default Rough River

Is anyone doing any good on Rough or is it just me? Seems like crappie have been so slow this year compared to last year.

We have been catching a bunch of short fish. We had a tournament last week and 5 lbs won it.(7 fish) They were about 12 ft deep and everything we caught was on minnows. From what I am seeing on livescope Rough should be better in 2 years. The covid onslaught hurt Rough, I don't care what anybody says.

I agree with that statement with the Covid hurting this lake. When the ramps are full during the week, for weeks at a time with fisherman it has to take a toll on the lake.

With family and friends we camped for a week at Rough River 2 consecutive summers back in the 70's.
We had great times, beautiful lake.
Covid has hurt every lake I have been to. It's great to see people getting out but the fishing pressure is just too intense for populations to be sustained.

Same. Fished Friday and Saturday last week and caught several but only 2 keepers each day. Caught all on plastics and hair jigs.
