Exclamation Pappy & onready's trip to Green ...

    Water Temps 74-77deg
    Water clarity ... good

    Wed 9/29 ... 1/2 day on the water = 4 keepers (20-30 throwbacks)
    Thur 9/30 ... full day = 16 keepers (about 50 throwbacks)

Fish we saw were mostly around 20ft deep ... some tight to brush, others were schooled in tight groups in open water.

Few fish were caught on jigs (day one), so we opted to use live minners. That was the ticket !! Didn't matter what size minner, dead or alive, and some were even caught on minners that were torn up pretty bad.

We stayed at The Getaway (t.slabseeker's rental cabin), as we normally do. Thanks Tim, enjoyed the stay.

One of the weirdest things we saw was several "strings" of Crappie, all at exactly 20ft deep ... not schooled up in a bunch, but seemingly in a "conga line" (that's a new one on me !! )

Only pic taken : (shows a small school of Crappie, open water & relating to depth of 20ft )

Thanks Retired2Fish, crp4570 thanked you for this post

Thanks for staying at the Getaway. Had the fisherman in mind when I was building it. The fish is fixing to really be hot. As the cooler temps sat in the fishing will be great.
