Good report Chuck. Some days are tough but you managed to get it done and put some in the boat.
Got on the lake late and after launching at Possum Ridge headed to a couple of my usual spots. Started fishing about 10 am I guess.
Water temperature was about 78-79 deg and kinda green with a skum on top.
I planned on pushing minnows but decided to start off single polling.
Caught a few on 1/16 oz black/chartreuse split tail.
I then switched to a 1/16 oz wedge head unpainted black/yellow hand tie. Couldn’t get a bite without tipping with a minnow.
Weird bite,,,,it was almost like a bass bite when fishing a jig…tick, tick…also had to hold as still as possible and really pay attention. A couple times I raised the rod tip 4-5 inches and felt resistance and never felt the bite. No THUMP today.
Left the water around 3 pm and managed to squeak out 8 keepers and a couple were 12 inch fish.
All white crappie of course.
Oh, I might add that I was in about 12 FOW fishing 8-10 ft feet.

I too fished the lake 3 days this week. Caught 7 keepers each day. Pushed jigs in the mouth of coves but mine came 10-12 ft over deep water. Each day found them suspended over deep water. Plenty of 9 inch fish. Taking a break today be back at it tomorrow. Those hybrid bass are owning the shad schools this week.

You still had success on a tough day. Thanks for the report.
Yes, as a matter of fact, I do have a retirement plan...FISHING!
Thanks for the reports, guys !! Sounds like the Summer bite is still hanging tough, but it should get better with falling water temps.
Pretty sure I'm through with the blasting Doves out of the sky for this year, so I'll be back on the water before too long & any and all reports from Taylorsville & Green are most appreciated.

I too went yesterday but all I caught were in water 15' or deeper, couldn't get them to hit a
jig, had to tip with a minnow. Most were just under 10" but managed a dozen no
larger than 11".

I’m going back Monday morning and plan on being on the water at daylight.
If any other members are going to be there, I would love you meet you so as to put a face with your post.
