So I’ve spent my July weekends on the Cumberland River and it rarely disappoints. When I’m not on call and the flow is right, I switch gears and drift fresh shad for these big bruiser bows. I know it ain’t a crappie but I decided to share anyway. I’ve had a couple of you reach out to me and I’ve been more than fine, but in this climate of no one wanting to work, consecutive 90+ temps and working for Trane who has an impressive workload 60 hr weeks have become the norm so I haven’t been as chatty. I’m gonna try to get in Some fall fishing, but I guide waterfowl hunts in in North Dakota and Canada as well, not to mention running a service in Arkansas for Snow Geese and Specks keeps me off the water in the winter. I hope y’all are all catching some good fish and being safe, when I get some free time and the pleasure boaters give me my lake back I’ll see you guys on the water. Name: IMG_2711.jpg

Used to fish below Wolf Creek Dam in the Winter, back in my younger years (late 1970's). Run the boat up to the dam and then drift back with the current, bouncing Kastmaster spoons along the bottom. Got some nice eater Rainbows, but nothing close to the size of those.

Good Job, guys !! And thanks for the report/pics .... wondered what you'd been up to these last few weeks.

Those are real nice looking fish.
I've never eaten trout(only because I haven't had the chance) but I bet they are good.
