    Default Taylorsville today

Put in at Possum Ridge and after getting set up started fishing I guess around 7:30 or so. Water temp after big rain yesterday, 83+-. Water color was stained except on shallow points above 10 ft.
Fish were on the move and in 15-20 FOW.
4-14 ft BnM out the front pushing double minnow rigs around 8-10 ft deep. They wanted it moving a bit faster than normal. About .3 mph. Any faster, hybrid, much slower or dead stick, catfish.
Probably caught 50+ before I got 9 keepers.
Came of the water around noon just as ramp was starting to get busy.
All in all a pretty good day.
    Chuck.

FINALLY someone reports on what the fish are doing at T-ville

    Thanks for the report, Chuck

But, I gotta ask -- were the Crappie relating to any submerged cover, bottom contour, or just roaming ?? And if they were "roaming", was it just random or were they relating to Shad schools ??

I'm not surprised that they're in the <15fow range, seeing as how the thermocline was around 8ft down at the dam (per the COE data from about 12days ago) I don't know what electronics you have, but did you notice the depth of the thermocline and if so was that the determining factor for setting your rigs at the 8-10' depths ??

I also went yesterday (Friday), in the afternoon. Everything pretty much the same as
Chuck said, caught a bunch, but I only got 7 keepers.
I did get one that was 13".
I'd like to know where all the bigger fish are, I can't find them.

Can’t say they were relating to any cover. I did see baitfish moving in and out of my screen.
Guess they were somewhere around but so were the catfish and bluegill.
I was fishing and area that had a big flat that came off the channel from I’d say 20-25 ft. Kinda gradually went to 15 ft and then had humps that came up to in areas to 10-12 ft. I saw all my fish were staying in the 8 ft and above with catfish and bluegill below.
Set up all four poles with bottom hook at that depth.
Did catch several on top hook.
I’m sure a person could have casted a jig and caught them too but I guess bass fishing for years ruined me.
Oh, I I’ve have Garmin 1222 with transducer mounted on one of Rickie’s PoDunk poles.
    Hope this answered your questions
    Chuck.

I caught all of mine right up against trees sticking up out of the water,
where it was around 20' deep and I used a slip float with a minnow about 10' deep.
