After about 35 days in the driveway my project is complete. I’ve added two standalone battery’s up front and pulled all the cables through the hull of the boat for a nice clean install. I was having issues of my cranking battery getting really low after a long day on the water so I wanted some auxiliary power. The amp draw of two helix units and a 360 really does a number If you fish more than you drive your big motor. I went ahead and added a 2 port USB/battery meter as well to keep my radio going and the phone charged. Anyone who fished with me last year could tell you all the cables jumbled up with zip ties on the deck was unsightly at best, tripping hazard at worst...really my OCD pushed me over the edge. There is also a switch at the console to power it all up. Now that this is done I’m truly scared the wide is going to start having me do chores, stay tuned. I’ll be on the water this weekend getting it done, y’all be safe out there.

    Looks good!
Haven’t been able to get out on Taylorsville or anyplace else for almost a month because of back pain.
Chiropractor 2 times a week is helping. Maybe see you on Taylorsville soon.
    Chuck.

I’ve been on your boat I’m having a hard time visualizing where you put two batteries up front

I had two small batteries I use to power my ecaller for snow geese (35ah each) and I wired them in parallel. I’m actually adding one more battery up there to power my night fishing setup, all of the individual circuits are fused and I have toggle switches on the front deck as well. Long story short I don’t have any more issues draining the ol cranking battery. I don’t tend to move around a whole bunch once I’m in em to charge it on the go.
