    Default Tville IDES OF MAY

This will be a two day report, spent Saturday and Sunday on beautiful Tville Lake.
Saturday- Hit the lake at first light which rarely happens for me anymore, conflicting work schedules and whatnot. I was solo at first, called my father around 9:00 to let him know I had my limit and was nowhere near ready to leave. Picked pop up at Possum ridge around 11:30 and tried a new spot altogether. We kept his limit and released another 75 or so. Went through a pound of minnows by 4:00.
Post spawn transition is upon us, water temp @ 70 with dingy/iced tea colored water. There truly wasn’t a 60 second period where we weren’t catching or releasing a crappie, truly one for the books. We were fishing in 40-60 feet of water anywhere form 15. -25 feet deep, slow trolling jigs and minnows per usual.
** Sunday- Same pattern dominated. Fished in the rain this morning from 8-2 in the afternoon. Wind picked up and made things interesting, not near as good as yesterday but easily filled my limit solo, and released 50 or so fish. May have to break out the fish counter to keep up with my stories, but I went through a half pound of minnows by 2 and decided to call it a day. I’ve got about 850 waypoints saved into my humminbird from this year alone, but I’ve been trying some new water to see if it’s different on both ends of the lake. Been blazing a new trail closer to the dam and it’s been paying off, lots of sunken cover and the lake has been fairly devoid of “summer tourists”. Y’all be safe out there, lots of floaters and widow makers from the tendency rains.

My knees are what kills me and after I couple of days riding the trolling motor I’m smoked. With these warm temperatures and the impending Memorial Day barrage of pleasure boaters my fishing trips with be somewhat limited from here on out. Gonna have to make the best of it.

Maybe we can hook up some day and fish together. I’m retired and can go pretty much anytime.
I fish out of 1754 Crestliner with minn kota Ultrex and spotock. Has “power steering”. Also 1222 Garmin with Livescope.
Just pm sometime if you want to go.
“I’ve had all my shots. lol”
I don’t have any problem catching those 9 7/8 inch fish.
