Even with it being free and easy to get, not many want it. They have been advertising free walk-ins like crazy this morning on the radio since so few are making appointments.

News Channel 6 did a story on it last night about how few people were getting the vaccine, said that most are taking a "wait and see approach to it." The vaccination center at KY Dam was planning on 1,000 vaccines a day, but demand has been less than 400 a day.

If it was the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, I might consider getting it, but this "free" vaccine site at KY Dam only offers the Pfizer one.

I got both my Moderna vaccines and no problems at all. Please everyone take the vaccine.

Took both doses of the Pfizer vaccine ... sore arm at injection site was the only side effect on either occasion. Even those I know that took the Moderna or Pfizer vaccines, that had worse side effects, only had a mild headache & fatigue for one day.

It's not the side effects I'm concerned with, it's the method of which Moderna and Pfizer achieve their goal with mRNA. The Johnson and Johnson vaccine (adenovirus) is totally different and more effective against these new strains that have been showing up locally now.

I think the big push right now is to get all the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines used up/gone before the better Johnson and Johnson vaccines become more readily available with higher demand. With new the new strains, I think the coronavirus vaccine will end up like the flu shot in that it's recommended each year.

The data from studies does not support your statement at all, that the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is “better”.

Updated data from Phizer shows that it is 91% effective vs variants.

Overall efficacy of Johnson & Johnson vaccine is 66% globally and 72% in the U.S.

So how is the J&J vaccine better? If you have data from a study showing that- please provide a link to it.

Regardless, all 3 vaccines- Moderna, Phizer, and Johnson & Johnson, are ALL 100% Effective at Preventing Hospitalization and Death! So I cannot comprehend why a person would not take whichever one is available to them, as soon as it is available to them.

AND .... the Pfizer vaccine has shown to still be 90% effective after 6months.

My wife and I got the J&J vaccine yesterday in Eddyville. I did not want the two shot vaccines, it was the one shot deal or I probably wouldn't have even done it. Our arms are sore, no other issues.

Wife and I got the Johnson & Johnson shot yesterday in Benton at the Marshall Co. Health Dept. - like redearhoosier I refused to get the two-shot deal, and I like the method that the Johnson & Johnson shot uses far better, that's similar to the flu shot, which uses an adenovirus and is a method that's been around for decades.

It's been 20 hours with no side effects. My arm really isn't even that sore, the level of soreness is about on par with shooting 4 or 5 rounds of .30-06 ammo through the deer rifle to check the scope on it.
