Thread: Any tackle/boat shows in Kentucky this spring?

With the Gov's current restrictions on "gatherings" .... I seriously doubt there will be any.

Murray,KY show March 5-7. Lots of tackle vendors there as well as boats.

CP, you are probably correct about our gubernor and the great plans he has for us. I need to check to see what's going on in Lexington (Rupp Area). They usually have a pretty good show in February.

Yeah, I quit going to Rupp's "boat show" deal a long, long time ago. Very little "tackle" and a whole lot of stuff that had little to nothing to do with "fishing" ... and a hefty price tag for entry were the main factors. With everything & then some being on the internet nowadays, it just don't jive with me.

I just prefer the "swap meets" and have gone to the one in Richmond the last couple of years. I haven't seen or heard anything about their swap meet for this year, so I assumed there wouldn't be any in this area.

My apologies to West KY, as I had forgotten about the Murray show. Prolly forgot since I had no intention of driving 4hrs to get to it :rolleyes: ... but I hope they do pull off a successful show.

My understanding Richmond swap meet has been cancelled

CP, I did check and there is no show at Rupp area this year. I agree, you pay to get in expecting fishing stuff and they want to sell you windows and other home improvement stuff. One thing I did like when I went a few years ago is that a group of 'Guides' from Weiss would sponsor a booth. They'd go out and catch 10-20 2lb+ crappie 1 or 2 days before coming up and bring them up on ice to display. This got a lot of attention and some scheduled guide business for March and April.
