    Default Ky river crappie puzzle

Fished Ky river for the first time a couple weeks ago. Fished between lock 6 and 7
3 men 7.5 hours fishing and not a single fish..... hardly any fish or shad seen on the sonar.
I know there have been a couple fish kills down stream with the bourbon spills.
Curious is anyone else fishes the river in that area and what your experience has been ? Wondering if we just hit a really off day or something more ?
    Thanks
    Paul

Colayn, I have not fished KY river, but I feel your pain of fishing hard with no results. We, (my thoughts only) have a major problem in our state with the management of most of our streams and lakes. I see Crappie tournaments now that show the winning weights at 1-1.25lbs per 7 fish which is pretty bad. Something is wrong statewide with the fisheries. I'm old, but remember catching 2 lb Crappie in numbers years ago at several KY lakes. Again, the river should be good based on the DNR 2020 fishing forecast, but have not seen any positive posts on KY river fishing, so you are not alone
