    Default Ranger RT188C Certificate

I am selling a certificate for a new Ranger RT188C. This was won at the Crappie USA Classic. The package includes boat, trailer, Mercury 115 Pro XS, Minn Kota Fortrex 80, Humminbird Helix 7, 12 foot Minn Kota Talon, 2 bank Charger and 8 Driftmaster Crappie Stalkers. The boat will be built at Jet-A-Marina in Western KY as the motor is already there. If you are not interested in everything, we can discuss price. Call or text 859-481-4325. I will answer PM's, but I'm easier to reach by phone.

Not being offensive in any way. Just curious. I see some winners in this circuit that put these boats certificates up for sale almost every year. I’m sure they’re great boats but why doesn’t the group have an optional choice for either the boat or a cash prize for first place? I think you should have that option if you’re already fishing from a nice boat and don’t need to upgrade. Also as a two man team and one partner can’t afford to buy the other out, it would solve that problem too instead of making the winners have to sell the boat to split the winnings. I’m just curious as I’m not a member of this circuit. If this is asking to much, I apologize in advance.

Ranger donates the prize for advertisein.I do know a guy that won one and was have trouble selling it.He called the main guy in the series he won it in and talked to him, after they hung up a couple hrs later he got a call back from the main guy and he had it sold for them.

Shouldn't be a problem selling a certificate, and if it is, there's only one reason.

    Price.

It is a sponsorship thing. It's a part of the package that Ranger offers.

Chaunc, I agree, this is not right. The sponsor can get the credit for the package and all the advertisement, but dang, I'm sure the winner will have to pay taxes on a boat/package they don't need and stuck with it until they can sell it. There should be a 'cash' alternative' to the prize. Again, they will probably have to pay State and Federal taxes on the value with a 'Cash' payout, but they are not stuck with a boat they don't need to sell and probably need to pay taxes on immediately to 'own' and use the boat package, which again, they may not need or want.

I just can’t see working so hard to win the tournament and then to have to deal with that prize. They should have that cash option. It must be okay tho. Guys are still fishing their circuit aren’t they?
