Default 36 year streak broken this year

I have bought a Kentucky fishing license every year since 1984. This year is the end of that. Campgrounds were closed in the spring, so I didn’t go. Fall was interrupted by having a sick dog and being busy trying to take care of my mom’s house and my mother-in-law’s house.

Did make it to Kentucky Lake for a camping trip earlier this month, but the sick dog prevented taking the boat. We finally lost her last week.

I hope next year is better!

My medical condition has kept me indoors for quite some time, but I bought my license to add a little support to the KYF&W. Our license fees fund all the great things they do.

So sorry to hear about your issues keeping you from fishing. Life happens and much of the time it isn’t the way we would hope. Here’s hoping for a better 2021 for you and all of us.

My streak ended this year also at thirty two straight springs at Ky lake. May not make it next spring either. I too hope 2021 is a better year for all of us.

Mine ended also. Every spring since 72 I have fished Kentucky lake, but not this year. Wasn’t worth the risk to me. All the closings and uncertainty of the situation made me decide that I will just start over next year. I would sure like to have that money back that I spent on minners all those years. Had the Jeep packed the boat hooked up one day from leaving when we came screeching to a stop. March isn’t that far away.
